Cooperative Summer Intern Program Information for Student Applicants

The Arthur Capper Cooperative Center (ACCC) is sponsoring a summer intern program with agricultural related cooperatives in 2005. This is a good opportunity to get some valuable work experience, earn some money and create a network for job opportunities in the future. You must be at least a sophomore by Fall Semester 2005 and have at least one semester of college remaining to be eligible to participate. You must also be majoring in an agricultural or business related degree program.

The internship will be with a cooperative for a 12-week period during the summer.

Rate of pay at the co-op is negotiable and hours worked range from 40-60 hours per week, depending on the week.  You also have the option of taking AGEC 445, Agricultural Economics Internship, for three hours credit or a similar intern course in another department.

The three sets of requirements that a student must follow to participate in the ACCC intern program are as follows:  the student must abide by the policies and procedures of the Arthur Capper Cooperative Center, the Department of Agricultural Economics, and the Career and Employment Service Experiential Learning Program. The checklist guide below is designed to help the student intern through this process. Each link below will give you more specific information on each organization's policies.
