As part of our mission to promote the development of and education about cooperatives, the Arthur Capper Cooperative Center (ACCC) awards several types of cooperative scholarships to undergraduate students at Kansas State University.

There have been 14 cooperative scholarships offered for the 2009-10 academic year, ranging from $1,000 - $5,000.Click here to see the press release. The ACCC has awarded $314,700 in scholarships on behalf of the cooperative community since 1985.

2009-10 Matthew Kent Stamper Memorial Scholarship:  $5,000 awarded to a Junior or Senior in good academic standing majoring in Agricultural Economics, Agronomy  or Animal Science who is affiliated with a Kansas agricultural marketing, supply or service cooperative as a member/employee or as a child or dependent of a member/employee. Preference is given to those students from Rooks, Phillips, Smith, Osborne, Russell, Ellis, Trego, Graham and Norton counties.
2009-10 Recipient:
Preston Smith of Sharon Springs, Agribusiness. Co-op connections: Farm Credit, United Plains Ag and Aurora Cooperative

2009-10 Joseph Lieber Memorial Cooperative Scholarship: $5,000 awarded to a Junior or Senior in good academic standing in the College of Agriculture who is affiliated with a Kansas agricultural marketing, supply or service cooperative as a member/employee or as a child or dependent of a member/employee. Students who meet certain criteria, including indicating cooperative affiliation on questions 57 and/or 58 on the Student Financial Aid Scholarship Form, are invited to apply. Finalists participate in a personal interview and the top candidate is selected as the recipient.
2009-10 Recipient: Wyatt Rundel of Colby, Agribusiness. Co-op connections: Farm Credit of Northwest Kansas, Hi-Plains Cooperative Association and Frontier Ag.

2009-10 Otis and Mary Lee Molz Cooperative Scholarship:  $5,000 awarded to a Junior or Senior in good academic standing in the College of Agriculture who is affiliated with a Kansas agricultural marketing, supply or service cooperative as a member/employee or as a child or dependent of a member/employee. 2009-10 Linn County Cooperative Scholarship: $1,000 awarded to one or more upper class students in good academic standing in the College of Agriculture who attended one of the three Linn County high schools: Jayhawk Linn H.S., Pleasanton H.S. or Prairie View H.S.

2009-10 CoBank Scholarship:  Awarded to two upper class students in good academic standing in the Department of Agricultural Economics who have completed accounting or finance classes and is planning a career in finance or banking. In addition, the student or parents must belong to a farmer-owned cooperative.

May Scholarship for Ag Finance: Awarded to one or more upper class students in good academic standing in the Department of Agricultural Economics who has completed accounting or finance classes and is planning a career in finance or banking. 2009-10 CHS Foundation University Scholarship: Eight $1,000 scholarships awarded to upper class students in good academic standing in the Department of Agricultural Economics who have completed accounting or finance classes and must have completed one of the following courses: Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Finance and/or Agribusiness Marketing.
