The Department of Agricultural Economics has crafted its research efforts to focus on practical problems affecting society to find meaningful and realistic solutions. In a recent study conducted by Dr. Greg Perry, Oregon State University, K-State ranked 1st among agricultural economics departments based upon research quality and productivity. The diversity of agricultural economic, agribusiness, and rural economic development issues within the state of Kansas provides a wide array of research activities. Twenty-five Agricultural Economics faculty have partial research appointments and conduct research.
