For the current issue of Livestock Management Ag Update see the AgManager website:

www.agmanager.info

AgManager website is a comprehensive source of information, analysis, and decision-making tools for agricultural producers, agribusinesses, and others. The site serves as a clearinghouse for applied outreach information emanating from the Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University. It was created by combining departmental and faculty sites as well as creating new features exclusive to the AgManager site. The goal of this coordination is to improve the organization of web-based material and allow greater access for agricultural producers and other clientele.

Extension and Teaching Interests: Extension and teaching interests focus on livestock production economics issues and relaying the importance of maintaining a comparative advantage in the ever changing agricultural environment.   Specific farm management topics include the efficiency of various livestock production systems, and managing economic risks associated with agricultural production.

Research Interests: Research interests include both production and marketing topics. Previous work has looked at the changing marketing environment in the fed cattle marketing channel, and price transmission and supply response in U.S. lamb markets.  Current research is addressing the economic efficiency of various livestock production systems, factors that contribute to economic risk in agricultural production, and the interactions between livestock production systems and the environment.
