DR. WILLIAM I. TIERNEY, JR. |
| Prof. William Tierney has been the Kansas extension crop marketing specialist since 1983. Prior to that, he worked as a commodity analyst for the Pillsbury Company. Over the last seven years, Tierney has presented more than 210 risk management seminars in eighteen states and Canada. In the 1980's, Tierney was instrumental in starting over 200 Producer Marketing Clubs in Kansas and he conducted training programs on organizing clubs in sixteen other states and four provinces of Canada. He has been a consultant to many U.S. and foreign agribusiness firms, U.S. government agencies, U.S. Wheat Associates, U.S. Feed Grains Council and the American Soybean Association. Tierney publishes monthly crop outlook material in KSU's "AgUpdate Newsletter" [also available on Internet]; is a regular columnist on DTN and makes frequent contributions to crop outlook stories appearing in national publications. |
